"Hampden College, Hampden, Vermont. ...made me think of long hours in dusty libraries, and old books, and silence. "
This maple scented lip balm is inspired by the Vermont set college in Donna Tartt's The Secret History. Vermont is the US's leading producer of maple syrup, and during the season, the sugary syrup is eaten on snow as an all natural flavored shaved ice.
These balms are packed with organic skin-loving ingredients such as sunflower oil, shea butter and vegan/organic/paraben free lip flavor oil. They formulated to be creamy and easy to remove from the tins (personally I love pressing my finger gently into the center of the balm to break the top seal and reveal the creamy goodness underneath!). Our balms are always unsweetened.
**Please note: These balms are all-natural & designed to melt on contact with your skin, so exposure to warm temperatures may also cause them to soften or melt.
Melting in heat is completely natural and will not ruin your balm at all! If your balm melts, simply pop it into the fridge to re-harden. If it melts and re-hardens at an angle (say, if left vertically in a pocket or purse) simply place the tin upright in a sunny window to allow it to re-melt and smooth out before placing it in the fridge to fully re-harden.
